I feel that it helps me to concentrate on the essentials. A tree is just a tree, but with a 600mm lens, every vein in a leaf becomes a work of art. I am also fascinated by how the perspective expands with a drone. To stick with the tree example - suddenly you see the wood for all the trees.

There is something meditative about standing alone in nature at sunrise, listening to the birds or the sounds of the sea and taking photos. Here you can find a wild selection of my favourite photos.
