The west coast of Mallorca is an outdoor Eldorado. Here you can do all kind of activities hike, climb, dive and kayak. Here are my 3 top tips for Cala Tuent.
Welcome to my favorite beach
The bay of Cala Tuent is located roughly in the middle of the west coast, which is separated from the rest of the island by the high Tramuntana mountains. Relatively few tourists find their way to this romantic bay. Most are drawn to the more famous beach of Cala Sa Calobra. All the better for the visitors who come here. Here in Cala Tuent on Mallorca you can experience great outdoor activities: hiking, kayaking, diving, visiting a nice restaurant or just chilling on the beach. a

1. Kayak tour to Mallorca's famous bay Sa Calobra
There is no better way to discover the unspoilt coastline around Cala Tuent.
Only a narrow road leads into the small bay on the west coast. Most tourists continue on to the famous bay of Sa Calobra. Those who paddle from Carla Tuent to Sa Calobra by kayak can enjoy the narrow beach between the high cliffs without the traffic chaos. To the south stretches the picturesque coast of Sa Costera . Two scenic highlights of Mallorca in one day of kayaking!
You can rent kayaks from Tuent Adventure .
Directions
Depending on the current, it is advisable to paddle north or south first - check with the kayak rental company beforehand. From Cala Tuent, head right out of the bay to Sa Calobra. You can see the old lighthouse on top of the mountain. After you have rounded the two rocky outcrops, you can see the ferry landing stage at the right-hand end of the bay. There are also restaurants here. Continue along the coast to the famous bay of Sa Calobra - here you will find a small white pebble beach between mighty rock walls. The beach is ideal for a break. On the way back to Cala Tuent, it is worth exploring the cliffs and the small caves on the east side of the bay. The rock formation Morro de sa Vaca is well known. If you want, you can take a break in Cala Tuent on the way back. Continue south, past the Pas des Forat peninsula , to the beautiful coast of Sa Costera . About halfway there is the old factory Sa FÃ brica . There is a jetty here where you can moor your kayak and take a short (swimming) break before heading back.
Safety instructions:
Currents and waves on the coast of Mallorca should not be underestimated. Before every trip, it is important to check the weather. There are jellyfish on some beaches.

2. Hike from Sóller to Cala Tuent
The route leads through the impressive Tramuntana mountains along the beautiful, untouched cliffs to the picturesque bay of Cala Tuent.
In this blog post you will find all the details about the hike as well as the GPS data.
Anyone who spends the night in this beautiful bay has it (almost) entirely to themselves in the evening.
The most spectacular sunsets can be seen here.
3.Diving between steep rocks
I swim through a school of small blue fish. They dart around me almost playfully, the sunlight shining through the crystal-clear water making their colors shine; they move gently in every wave.
Alan gives me a sign and disappears behind a rock wall. Curious, I dive after him through large boulders. A dive at Cala Tuent is surprising. Surprisingly beautiful, surprisingly varied, the visibility is surprisingly clear and there are surprisingly many fish.
At Tuent Adventures you can rent snorkeling equipment, take a diving course, or just do individual dives.

EAT + SLEEP
The Es Vergeret restaurant is open daily from 12pm to 5pm. You can dine on a beautiful terrace overlooking the sea. There are also apartments to rent.
Tuent Adventure offers simple rooms (similar to a hostel) even for just one night. Most rooms have shared bathrooms.
WEATHER
With 300 days of sunshine a year, the weather in Mallorca is rarely really bad for several days. On rainy days, the Serra de Tramuntana is often a weather divide. This means that when it is bad in the west, the weather in the east can be quite acceptable - and vice versa.

KAYAK RENTAL
Tuent Adventure rents kayaks by the hour or for the whole day. You can also rent snorkeling equipment and SUPs or go diving here. If you want, you can also stay overnight in the hostel in Cala Tuent.
Public transportation
Port de Sóller is easily accessible from Palma by public bus.
From Port de Sóller there is a boat to Cala Tuent twice a day when the weather is good and during the season .
Directions
The journey to Cala Tuent is arduous, as it can only be reached via a very steep and extremely narrow mountain road. The MA 2141 branches off from the MA 10 to Sa Calobra/Tuent. This is where the 15-kilometer descent from the mountains to the coast begins. Oncoming buses in particular make this route a challenge for many drivers. Shortly before Sa Calobra, the road to Cala Tuent branches off to the left.
Park
There are paid parking spaces (during the season) on the road to Cala Tuent bay.
